Counselling in Nature Sessions
50 minutes
You will be asked to complete and submit an intake form and a consent form before your first session. This is part of routine counselling care to ensure you understand and are comfortable with your rights and responsibilities related to the counselling process.
The first session - often referred to as an intake session - may be online. This is an opportunity to get to know Tanya and for Tanya to get to know your concerns, where you are struggling or not satisfied in life, and what your goals are. We will go through the practical aspects of a counselling session, privacy and confidentiality, and what to expect for your counselling in nature sessions.
If you want to involve a horse in your counselling sessions, please book this option. In your first session, you will learn basic training on safely being on the ground with a horse and horse communication and commence your intake. Many of the skills you learn to be safe around horses also apply to enhancing your self-awareness, creating a calm nervous system, and establishing safe boundaries with others (humans).
